Our Toys for Tots event was amazing!
Here’s a slideshow of some of the fun we had collecting for Toys for Tots of Suffolk County:
We couldn’t have done it without the help of our “elves” listed to the right and our special sponsors! Thank you Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko and Councilwoman Jane Bonner for helping us make this Christmas Holiday a special one for needy children in Suffolk County.
“We’re not stuffing a bus, we’re stuffing our Home office”
Last years Toys for Tots drive was so successful, we are doing it again. As of October 13th, we have been approved as an official drop off site for anyone wishing to donate a new unwrapped toy to help a child in need have a special holiday celebration. Toy donations can be dropped off at our Rocky Point NY office located on 341 Route 25A, during business hours Monday-Saturday. We are very excited to be doing this again, as we were able to collect over 300 toys last year. If you would like more information please call our office 631-744-4021. If you need to request toys for your Suffolk County organization please contact Toys for Tots Directly, or visit the main website at www.toysfortots.org

Below is our Event from 2010:
December 11th and 12th 2010 we had our Toys for Tots fundraiser at our Rocky Point office, and even with the torrid rain storm, we were able to collect over 300 toys! We had the U.S. Marine Reserves stop by in full dress, served hot chocolate and eggnog, and tasty treats to all who stopped by to donate to Toys for Tots.
Rocky Shores Veterinary Hospital worked with us in collecting toys this weekend, and even offered free exams to their furry patients who brought in a toy for the charity. Joe Donaghy of American Mobile Home Leasing in East Patchogue, donated the use of the mobile home we were attempting to stuff with toys, and he also brought bags full of Toys that his office collected for the kiddies as well. Gershow Recycling had donated a check pre-event so we sent Lisa shopping for toys, and she almost filled up an entire donation box! Vinny from DaVinci signs made and donated all the signs that we used to promote the event and let everyone know we were a drop off site! Thank you Vinny.
We had our “Almost Santa” on Sunday standing out on 25A in the pouring rain just to let everyone know what we were doing, and because of this we actually collected more toys on that day! It was so heartwarming to see the donations that were made, and I want to say thank you again to everyone that contributed to this event, especially our local community.
Monday December 13th was our “Pick up” day, and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves came with a van to pick up the toys we collected. We also had Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko, as well as Legislator Jack Eddington 7th District, in attendance to lend a hand in loading up the van with the toy donations.
They really were a huge help, and we all were smiling and in great spirits because we knew that we were going to be making a lot of children really happy this Christmas. We were able to fill the van to capacity with toys! Next year we really want to be able to fill that mobile home! We were very happy with the amount of toys we were able to collect for a first time fundraiser for Toys for Tots. Can’t wait until next year!
