How to clean pet stains

Do you ever feel like you are on your own when it comes to cleaning up pet stains?

I love animals, I really do. Growing up I had every type of pet from boa constrictors and iguanas to guinea pigs and ferrets and everything in between. I am not really sure why my parents indulged me in this passion of mine but they did and it made me one happy kid. Currently I have three cats and a dog (I just lost my parrot of 18 years this past November) so I have a pretty good idea about how messy pets can be. Ironically the night I wrote this post I woke up to my beagle barfing on my bedroom floor at 5am just to assure me of my authority on the subject. The good news is, with a couple of key ingredients and a little know how, dealing with pet stains and odor can be (almost) painless. Read More→

How to dust the un-dustables in your home.

What smells are lurking in your teens room?

If you have been reading my posts over the last few months you probably know that I have two little boys and not a teen BUT, since I know lots of moms with teens and in a galaxy far far away I actually WAS a teen I have pretty good idea of what can produce an offensive odor. Not to mention my on-the-job-mom-training. Over the years I have found a myriad of produce that somehow fleed my child’s dinner plate only to be found months later, under my couch, shriveled up and  covered in cat hair. As bad as that might sound, no discovery (to date) has been worse than the months old, milk filled sippy cup my children have hidden in various crevices in my home. I even found a chunk of cheddar cheese, hidden in Lightning Mcqueen ride on toy not too long ago. Upon questioning, my 2 year old claimed he was “saving it for later.” Since it was getting close to nap time I had no choice but to acquit him but, to this day, I still believe that there was foul play at lunch… but I digress. Back to the stinky room situation. Read More→
