Five Fabulous Finds… from around your home!

Friday, January 6th, 2012

When cleaning, don’t forget that you have all sorts of things around your home that are great cleaners!

1) Q-tips - gunk around your sink?  Detailed silver need shining? Jewlery looking dingy?  Keyboard on your computer gross?  Q-tips can help you get them clean easily and quickly!

2) Club Soda - fill a spray bottle with club soda and a splash of lemon juice and you have a handy stain fighter!

3) Salt - Salt can be mixed with vinegar to create a good general purpose cleaner. Don’t use it on waxed surfaces, marble or linoleum because the vinegar may be too strong for the surface and cause damage. This vinegar and salt mix can be used for general cleaning around the house.

4) Vinegar - An amazing multi use cleaner you can use all around the house – You can do everything from counter tops to tubs (depending on the surface) with this wonder cleaner!

5) Baking Soda - Let’s not forget one of our favorites!  In fact, you can click here: http://www.teresasfamilycleaning.com/house-cleaning/uses-for-baking-soda/ to see a great blog post on just this!

Detox Your Home At A Discount

Tuesday, December 27th, 2011

To help more Long Islanders kick off The Year of Home Detox, Teresa’s Family Cleaning, a commercial and residential cleaning company serving Nassau and Suffolk counties, is offering a discount on it’s newest service offering, The Chemical Free Clean.

Long Island, NY Tuesday, December 27, 2011- 2012 is almost here, and the people at Teresa’s Family Cleaning, are excited. “2012 marks The Year of Home Detox,” says Teresa Ward, Owner of Teresa’s Family Cleaning, “and our goal is to get all of Long Island to go Chemical Free in 2012.”

Chemical Free Cleaning services offered by TFC, utilize state of the art technologies to thoroughly and effectively clean and sanitize homes and commercial settings using nothing more harmful than water. “It’s an absolutely outstanding technology, and it allows us to help our clients live cleaner, healthier lives without being exposed to old fashioned cleaning products,” says Ward.

The method utilizes the Ionator EXP™ and the Unilux™ Vapor cleaner systems, which can kill more than 99.9%* of most harmful bacteria (E. coli, VRE, Salmonella, MRSA, Pseudomonas, Staph, Listeria and E. coli 0157:H7) and the H1N1 virus, as well as paralyzing mold, mildew and other bacteria.

“We’re really passionate about going Chemical Free,” says Ward. “It’s so much better for our clients AND the environment, and we know that once people give it a try, they’ll never go back to the old way.” To help more families make the switch, TFC currently has a discount offer available for new clients who sign up for scheduled service. Clients signing up for weekly cleanings will get $25 off each cleaning, and biweekly clients will get $15 off each cleaning if they sign up before January 31, 2012. For weekly sign up, that’s a savings of $1300 a year! Ward is looking forward to introducing new families to the Chemical Free Service. “We think this offer will help to get the word out about this amazing new technology, and if we can get even a few more families to detox their homes in 2012, we’ll be happy about it!”

Our Mopette Tai Visits Inner Beauty Workshop

Saturday, November 19th, 2011
Written By Christine from her http://innerbeautyworkshops.blogspot.com/ so click the link to read the entire blog post. She has great information on how to live a holistic lifestyle.

“Maybe you have time to cook, but not enough time to clean the house.  There are wonderful companies who provide “green” cleaning services like Teresa’s Family Cleaning in Rocky Point.  I met with Tai, a representative from Teresa’s and she explained that they use green cleaning products because “within 26 seconds after exposure to chemicals, they can be found in every organ of the body.”  They also use an Electrolux with a HEPA filtration system to prevent the dust and dirt, accumulated from your carpet and floors, from being blown into the air.  It’s wonderful to see a company who takes into consideration the welfare of the people they service as well as the health and safety of their own employees.  Chemical free cleaning is the wave of the future.  Information on Teresa’s Family Cleaning can be found on their website: http://www.teresasfamilycleaning.com/  If you are not from Long Island, ask around in your area and see if any of your local cleaning services offer green cleaning.  Remember, the last thing you want to accompany your turkey is bleach and ammonia.
