In 1993 Teresa Ward started her business in the basement and garage of her own home. Today Teresa’s Family Cleaning has grown into one of the most successful home and commercial cleaning services on Long Island, with 35 employees, 14 crews, 4 full-time office staff and a spotless reputation.

Most cleaning services rely on answering machines , but at Teresa’s Family Cleaning helpful friendly staff answer the phones during business hours, explaining services and offering timely, convenient appointments. Home cleaning teams arrive on site in clean, uniformed attire in a clearly marked company vehicle, with their own Green Seal Certified cleaning supplies. Teresa Ward, President:
Named Small Business Person of the Year for New York State, Long Island’s Top 50 Women, and recently inducted into the Suffolk County Women’s Hall of Fame, Teresa Ward is a determined business leader with a huge heart for people. Since founding Teresa’s Family Cleaning in 1993, she has supported a wide variety of local charities and nonprofit organizations by donating her services to help others in need. A native Long Islander who grew up running a successful family business, Teresa is the Vice-President of the Association of Residential Cleaning Services (ARCSI) and is an active participant in more than 25 business, civic, and charitable organizations. Kevin Ward, Vice President:
Kevin keeps the operations of Teresa’s Family Cleaning running smoothly and serves as the solution specialist for complex services including senior moves and home repair work. After managing his own successful contracting business for 10 years, Kevin served a large residential builder in the Hamptons as a project manager for more than 6 years. In 2000 he joined his wife Teresa to run what has become one of Long Island’s most well-known and respected cleaning services. The Wards enjoy their three grown children.
